As of the 2020 Census, it has a population of 565 residents.\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: var(--bs-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">The name &#8220;Tacdog&#8221; is derived from the Cebuano phrase meaning &#8220;cats and dogs.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><p>Siquijor, the municipality to which Tacdog belongs, was established as a municipality in 1794, coinciding with the establishment of its parish.\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: var(--bs-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">Tacdog is situated at approximately 9.2108\u00b0N latitude and 123.5180\u00b0E longitude, with an estimated elevation of 29.4 meters (96.5 feet) above sea level.<\/span><\/p><p>While specific historical records about Tacdog are limited, its development is intertwined with the broader history of Siquijor municipality and the province.
